Kevin Wells

  • Name: Kevin Wells
  • Age: 40
  • Class: English
  • Kevin was born in New York City to his mother, Juliana Taylor. His father had left Juliana once he had found out she was pregnant, so she was left to try and raise Kevin all by herself. They lived in a small apartment, with Juliana working as a newspaper columnist. Luckily her boss, Andy Wells, a white man, was kind enough to let her take Kevin to work with her, and even looked after him on occasion.

When Kevin was two years old, Juliana and Andy got married, and Andy even adopted Kevin as his own son, since he was unable to have children of his own. As Kevin grew up,, Andy showed him all about writing, and Kevin was soon writing stories.

At the age of ten, Kevin wrote a story about why he felt family was important, which showed how smart he was for his age. Andy was so impressed with it that he even put it in his newspaper. Kevin also called Andy ?Dad?, even though Kevin was black and Andy white, but then, Kevin never cared, since Andy was the only father he had ever known.

When Kevin turned sixteen, he wrote a novel about a teenage boy who had to fight against racism, which had been based on his life, since had always been bullied. Then Andy helped Kevin to get it published, and it was a bestseller. Andy then took Kevin on as a journalist for his paper, giving him all different tasks to do.

Kevin then entered college, and he wanted to teach people, so he went onto a course that would lead him to go to teachers training college. While there, he majored in English, since it was his favourite subject. He also excelled in English Literature, and as such, when he graduated at the age of twenty-two, he started as a teaching assistant in a Junior School, helping out in the English Department.

Kevin was twenty-eight when his mother died. He mourned her, but he also had Andy helping him to get over the loss. It was shortly after that time that he met Jessica Hart, whom he married a year later, and they had a daughter, whom they named Juliana, after his mother. At the wedding, Andy was the best man, and was also named Juliana?s godfather.

Kevin was given a full time teaching position when he turned thirty-three, and for the next few years he was able to inspire many young people, which was what he had always wanted to do. He had a different approach to teaching, mixing teaching with rap music, so he had his own unique style, which impressed the students.

When Andy turned thirty-eight, he was offered a job at Starville High in charge of the English department, a role he was more than willing to take on, and has remained there ever since, inspiring new and old students, although if anyone enters his class and messes around, he throws them right out, since he takes no crap from no-one.
